The Creative and Fabulous - November 2, 2009

Last week I mentioned that I'm learning how to create a great blog.  If you've seen my list under The Creative and Fabulous" you will notice I have a long list.  Well starting today I'm going to introduce you to some of my favorite blogs (as well as their authors) that have inspired me. That reminds me - I have to give a shout out to Mustard Seed Collective, where I got this idea!  I'm gonna get you next Adrienne!  ;)    So to make this post as short as possible, as the Black Eyed Peas famously sang "Let's Get It Started"...

Hi!  I'm Reiko from God's Favorite Shoes....(I just recently decided to expose my first name!  lol)

When did you debut?

It was July 2008...wow.  It was a complete whim.  It was the summer vacation (I'm a teacher) and I had nothing to do.  I did it to occupy my time.  I didn't think I would do it long but it became very liberating to be an authority on what I like!

What's the best part about blogging?

For me, it's the writing part and sharing what works for me.  I am amazed when I find out people are loyal followers.  It satisfies my desire to write and my love of style / fashion.

What's the worst?

The worst is when I can't think of anything new and earth shattering to blog about.  I feel like I'm letting my readers down when I don't post consistently.  The worst is also wishing that this could be my full time job!  LOL.

What did you wish you knew about blogging that you feel most people should know?

That most people will not read your blog if you do not include pictures!  Most people are visual!  Too many words can turn people off.  (Which makes me cringe since I am an English teacher...but the truth is the truth!)

If there was a blogger convention that you were to attend, who would you absolutely have to meet?

Maegan from Love Maegan because she is so chic, stylish and crafty! Also Delmy from Fashion Bananas because she is so adorable!  I love her style!

Name your bookmarked favorites.  

There are too many...you would have to go to my blog roll!  LOL!  I stalk all my faves pretty regularly!  But ...The two mentioned above as well as Karla from Karla's Closet.  I simply want to jack her shoes straight off her feet and take off running!
